Licensing Costs

If you are ready to get serious about helping families with overweight children in your community, KidShape is serious about helping you help others. To launch an effective KidShape program, you need to provide for each site:

Staffing

• a Registered Dietitian (RD)
• a Site Coordinator (may be the same person as the RD)
• a Mental Health Professional
• a Physical Activity Instructor

Facilities

• One room large enough to seat 30-40 adults and children in chairs
• One smaller break out room for 15 adults
• An area for physical activity (outside or a larger room; can be the same as the large meeting room)

Licensing and material costs

 • Franchise License fee: $1500 annually per site, which includes updated program materials for duplication and data analysis
 • One time charge for teaching materials: $1000
 • For six months of continued training support: $500
 • Training and set-up fee: $1500 (webinar sessions)

Data

Submit to Kidshape data on the results of your classes for statistical analysis and to help us improve the KidShape program. We show you how to collect this information.
