5.    How do I tell if I am overweight?

Talk to your doctor, a registered dietitian, your school nurse or an adult you trust like a parent if you are concerned about your weight.  We typically look at person’s weight, height and bone frame size to determine if they are overweight.  To learn more check out this article from kidnetic.com: http://www.kidnetic.com/BrightPapers/?c=Feelings. Another great article on how to figure out if your weight is healthy -- and it lets you calculate your BMI (body mass index) is http://kidshealth.org/kid/talk/qa/fat_thin.html.

Remember all bodies are good bodies.  If you want to change your weight, talk to your parent, an adult that you trust, your doctor or your school nurse for healthy tips.  Check more information on this website and some of the other websites we have listed in our Fun Stuff section to eat healthy, move more and feel good!
